Silver Creek: Mercury Rising

Elevated mercury levels in Silver Creek's brown trout raise concerns about the contamination of streams in southern Idaho--likely from sources outside the state. A recent study, funded by The Nature Conservancy, found the brown trout contained mercury levels up to four times higher than what is recommended for consumption by children and pregnant women.
