These sessions are presented by Al and Gretchen Beatty
NOTICE: For our out-of-country friends, our time has changed to “Daylight Savings Time” for the summer months so adjust the hour when you join us as needed to fit your country.
From the late 20s into the mid-80s, Franz B Pott’s woven body/hackle flies were a “must have pattern” when fishing Montana waters (and many others). On Friday, 17 March 2023, Al Beatty will share the patented “Pott’s method” for tying these fish producing patterns. Many of you (Beatty included) tied flies that looked like Pott’s had tied them. After gaining additional information about the weaving process from the late Frank Johnson, the Pott Company archives, and two patent documents, Al can share how Franz constructed his fish catching wonders. Join us to take a trip into another time and learn to tie “a piece of history” that continues to produce fish today.
There will be no WEEKLY TIP as this presentation will take all of our scheduled time.
The Beattys are inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
