FLY FISHING FUNdamentals: Entomology This month BVFF will be presenting part of their Fly Fishing FUNdamentals program on Entomology. Troy Pearse will bring his bug collection and talk about our local hatches as well as some basic "match the hatch" concepts. BIO Troy Pearse is an Idaho Native who has been fishing since the day he was born and loves to fly fish for steelhead and trout. He has a special interest in aquatic entomology that led him to develop the Bugometer, a tool to help anglers match the hatch. In 2019, Troy retired from HP, which has given him more time to enjoy all aspects of fly fishing including doing conservation projects with Boise Valley Fly Fishers as their Conservation Director.
