Roger Philips is one of Boise’s leaders in exploration fly fishing for warm water species, and is the Outdoor’s Editor for the Idaho Statesman. Roger truly lives the lifestyle of an outdoorsman, spending much of his time hiking, exploring, or riding his mountain bike in the Boise foothills. Amongst his hobbies, Roger spends a considerable amount of time fly fishing.

Fly Tier:
Troy Pearse is a local fly fisherman who spends too much time looking at bugs on the river which lead him to invent the Bugometer, a simple tool for choosing fly size. He is the author of an American Angler article on matching the hatch. When not looking at bugs he is an avid (OK, obsessed) steelhead fisherman who enjoys spey casting.
