Boise Valley Fly Fishers

Since 1971

Boise Valley Fly Fishers (BVFF), located in the Treasure Valley of Idaho, is a fly fishing club and organization promoting fly fishing education, public access to angling resources, and conservation. BVFF is the oldest fly fishing organization in Idaho, founded in 1971, with more than 300 members.

BVFF activities include:

  • Monthly Meetings - Club Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (January, July and August excepted), featuring presentations by local experts on fly fishing, conservation topics, and fly tying. Members and non-members are both welcome.

  • Conservation Projects: Projects benefitting lakes and rivers near Boise, ID.

  • Fly Fishing Education: Classes, demonstrations, and clinics on basic fly fishing skills and crafts including fly casting, entomology, and fly tying.

  • Outings: Monthly group outings to local and not so local rivers and lakes.

  • Social Meets: A traditional summer picnic and December holiday dinner, and monthly coffee klatch meets.
  • In addition to all of this, the Boise Valley Fly Fishers also organize the annual Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo, and we are always looking for volunteers.
