BRUNEAU DUNES STATE PARK [MAY]

Bruneau Dunes is BVFF's most popular outing, and is held at Idaho's Bruneau Dunes State Park outside of Bruneau, ID.  For several recent years this has been a joint event co-hosted with Women Fly Fishers of Idaho (WFFI).

Bruneau Dunes features two small lakes, with blue ribbon bass fishing, managed as a trophy fishery by IF&G.  This area is best fished using a kick-boat or float tube, with appropriate PFD and safety equipment.  The Cove Arm of the Snake River is nearby the park, and is also an excellent location to fish.

NOTE:  Camping at the Dunes State Park is very popular in the spring.  It is suggested that attendees reserve their campsites  months in advance.  There is no group campsite any longer in the park.  Campsites may be reserved at the link/phone number found at the park.

Campsite reservations should be made in January to assure securing a location.
