Owyhee R: Spawning Survey 2019 #2

Owyhee River Redds Survey:

Dave Banks (ODFW) will be leading the 2019 fall redds survey of the Owyhee River.  Volunteers are welcome to assist in the survey.  BVFF has recently concluded a joint project with ODFW placing signs along the very popular fishing areas of the lower Owyhee River to address concerns with the brown trout population.  Collection of data with redds surveys is important to help recover and manage this fishery.

Volunteers will meet at the Lori Okami/Chris Burke house (formerly Jim Clouse) for a brief presentation and instructions.  Donuts and coffee available.  After the redds survey, lunch will be provided back at the house.

MEET LOCATION:

This is the last private residence on the left along Owhyee Lake Rd, before you come to the cement bridge if you are going up river. You will see a number of cars parked in his driveway. There will be coffee and donuts, and lunch after the redds count provided.
