Al and Gretchen Beatty of BT's Fly Fishing are hosting Fly Tying Fridays-- a Zoom get-together to watch and learn some new fly tying techniques. These sessions will be held through March in into April. See BVFF calendar for these events.
Gretchen will present a great LaFontaine pattern, the Sparkle Pupa and Al will tie a Wonder Wing Caddis (Adult). Both are patterns worthy of a permanent place in your personal fly box(es). They are in the Beattys!
If you've ever had trouble forming the perfect "gas bubble" on a LaFontaine Sparkle Pupa (or any of the other versions), here is the recipe/materials for those of you who would like to tie along with Gretchen. She HAS the process "dialed in!".
