WHAT: BVFF’s semi-annual cleanup on the Boise River. We will work both sides of the river from the Westmorland Park area about ½ mile downstream of the Glenwood Bridge. Contact conservation@bvff.com for more information. DATE: Saturday, March 25, 2023 LOCATION: Westmoreland Park in Garden City. The Entrance is located by D&B Supply off of Glenwood. See map below. TIME: Meet at 9am MDT. Plan to finish by Noon DIRECTIONS: At the intersection of Glenwood St. and Riverside Dr., head east on Riverside Dr.; go to the second available right turn which looks like it takes you into a parking area and follow the winding road toward the river and into the park. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - Your safety and well-being come first. Winter flows are currently around 250-300cfs but could rise. If flows are above 600cfs, please stay out of the river. - We want to remove trash from the river edges and remove fishing line that is in the river, so waders are recommended but not required for everyone. - The weather could be cold and wet so come prepared. - Bring a fly rod and fish afterwards! Nymphing is very good this time of year.
