Speaker: Jim Cox, Director of Donor Relations, Western River Conservancy, Portland, Oregon
Jim joined Western Rivers Conservancy as Director of Major Gifts in 2011. He has more than 25 years experience working professionally in the nonprofit sector. Jim is a past steering committee co-chair of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, and is an active member of the Northwest Planned Giving Roundtable. Jim holds a Bachelor of Theatre Degree from Willamette University. In his free time, you can find him fly fishing and hiking along the outstanding rivers of the West.

Western Rivers Conservancy protects outstanding river ecosystems in the western United States. The Conservancy acquires land to conserve critical habitat, provide public access for compatible use and enjoyment, and cooperate with other agencies and organizations to secure the health of whole ecosystems. Jim will describe the successful approach the Conservancy uses to protect river lands throughout the west including a project in the Salmon River Basin in Idaho
