These sessions are presented by Al and Gretchen Beatty
We’ll look back to a time early in fly-tying history when this parachute style first appeared. Al had forgotten about it until Arkansas’s Davy Wotton reminded him of the style. Neither of the two tiers knows who to credit. You’ll need a gallows tool if you hope to follow along as Al demonstrates. It’s a challenge to tie, but Al thinks “pushing his skills” is fun. You’ll have to decide after you see the presentation whether you agree. The WEEKLY TIP will be focused on the Shaw Anchor and many other tools produced or invented by creative fly tier, Dick Shaw. If we have time, we’ll gather tips from viewers via the SHARING section; we’ll have to determine that based on the available time (we like to keep FTF to 1.5 hours). If we don’t have time, please save your tips for future episodes. We all really want to see what you have to offer. If you have friends interested in joining us, please email Al (albeatty2@gmail.com) so he can add them to the notification list to receive the new weekly Zoom link.
The Beattys invite you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
