Boise River Gravel Tracking Project
BVFF just received a permit to add a small amount of gravel to BVFF's side channel to track gravel migration. Sorry for the short notice, but we need to move quickly, and get the gravel into the river before it comes up.
We will be wheelbarrowing around 7-8 wheelbarrow loads down the greenbelt to our site, then doing a "bucket brigade" to get it to the site. After we get the gravel into the river we will be placing PIT-tagged pieces of gravel. See the below conservation blog article for more details.
WHAT: Move 0.9 cuyds of gravel into the Boise River, then add tagged gravel.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 10th. 9AM
WHERE: Meet at Troy's house, 8940 W. Duck Lake Drive, then walk to site. See map below.
BRING: Work gloves, work waders, shovels, hard-rake, wheelbarrow, 5 gallon buckets.
Note: Scott Cheser has a trailer. He and Troy will pick up gravel at 8
