Boise Valley Fly Fishers is an active member of the community providing volunteers for service and conservation projects in southwest Idaho, instruction for fly fishing education, and support for organizations and groups with synergistic missions.
Each year BVFF sponsors the Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo in Boise, ID to promote fly fishing, fly tying, and resource access and conservation.
The annual Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo (WIFFE) is organized and staffed by Boise Valley Fly Fishers (BVFF) volunteers. Education is an important part of our charter as a fly fishing club. WIFFE meets this requirement by providing programs from world renowned and local experts. We have water filled ponds for casting instruction, and hands on experience. People can learn fly tying, net building, rod building and much more at this annual education event. Funds raised from the WIFFE, and the annual BVFF banquet and auction, are used to support the activities and philanthropy of BVFF. and the WIFFE.
In addition, each year BVFF provides exhibitor booth space at no cost for a select number of partner non-profit organizations and/or government agency groups.
